The
Susie Long Hospice Fund recently launched a fundraising campaign
for the 2009 Dublin City Marathon. The Fund aims to recruit at
least 20 participants to run, jog or walk the Dublin Marathon,
which takes place on Monday, 26 October, and to raise €2,000.00
each in sponsorship.
In return, participants who undertake the challenge will receive
complimentary gym membership from the Ormonde Leisure Club, as
well as a sponsorship pack, training schedule, their entry to
the marathon and transport to and from Dublin for the marathon.
Further
information is available from John Eustace on 087 0609271 or Tommy
Roche on 087 2070737.

This
is a great opportunity to get fit, to set yourself a challenge and
to raise vital funds to help to build a hospice for the people of
Kilkenny and Carlow. The number of participants who have signed
up for the challenge is ever-increasing, so we are hoping that we
can meet, and even exceed our target of 20 participants.
For
those who are already in training for the marathon, we would ask
that they consider doing it in aid of the Susie Long Hospice Fund.
For those just starting out, we welcome anyone willing to take part
by walking the marathon. The main thing is to get involved and help
us to reach our fundraising target. Every cent that participants
raise will go directly to the Susie Long Hospice Fund. It's for
all of us. |
