The Royal Spice Indian Restaurant
on Patrick Street, Kilkenny, has come up with a novel way to
raise funds for the Susie Long Hospice Fund.
From Saturday 1st
to Friday 7th of May, the restaurant owners and staff are suggesting
that the public make a donation to the Susie Long Hospice Fund
in lieu of leaving tips for staff.
They will leave an envelope,
clearly marked with the SLHF logo, on every table in the restaurant.
At
the end of their meal, customers can place a donation in the
envelope, all of which will be collected and given directly to
the Susie Long Hospice Fund on completion of the fundraiser
.
Royal Spice is a new addition
to Patrick Street and offers authentic Indian and Bangladeshi
cuisine in a stylish and contemporary setting. Very welcoming
towards children, the restaurant also has an extensive vegetarian
menu, caters for parties and has a take-away service.
Speaking about the fundraiser for the Susie Long Hospice Fund,
Ahmed Said, Manager of Royal Spice said “So
we came up with this idea as we wanted to give something back
to society. We decided to help the Susie Long Hospice Fund as
they are working to raise funds to improve the quality of end
of life care. The hospice will be a great service for people
in Kilkenny and Carlow”.
